Companies will begin to receive digital passports in 2020
In early 2020, Lenpolygraphmash, Power Machines and other industrial enterprises will take part in testing digital passports. In the future, this document will become mandatory for state support.
In the first half of 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to start issuing digital passports to industrial enterprises in a pilot mode, Denis Manturov, head of the ministry, told RBC through the press service. UEC-Saturn, Lenpolygraphmash, Power Machines, KamAZ, Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant and Almaz-Antey Concern confirmed their interest in the pilot project, he said.
To obtain a passport, project participants will need to fill out an online application form in the personal account of the enterprise on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The department’s experts will check how actively the company is already using digital technologies and its technical readiness for their implementation, as well as examine the management characteristics of the company (in particular, development plans for the next few years).
A digital passport is a list of company characteristics that will be stored in the information system of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It will include the most significant information about the company’s readiness to implement digital technologies. The initiative is being implemented as part of the Digital Industry direction of the Digital Economy national program and involves the creation of a single digital environment and interactive services for enterprises. By 2024, digital passports should be received by at least 14.4 thousand large and medium-sized enterprises, it was said in the materials of the national program.
The methodology for assessing companies’ readiness for “digital transformation” was approved at the end of the year by the “Digital Industry” working group at the ANO “Digital Economy” (responsible for the implementation of the program of the same name). Until February 1, 2020, it should be published on the website of the state information system of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
As explained to RBC, the general director of Lenpolygraphmash, Kirill Soloveichik (part of the specified working group), the company has already passed the diagnostics of readiness for digital transformation and transmitted the information to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In the questionnaire, it was necessary to indicate how automated the company’s business processes are, what technologies are already used (from client CRM databases to programs for creating graphs and CAD drawings) and how they affect the adoption of business decisions.
According to Denis Manturov, in the future it is planned to automate the process of updating “digital passports” and eliminate the need to enter information manually.
Why digital passports are needed and whether all enterprises will be required to pass testing – in the material of RBC Pro.
